This workshop will provide parents, guardians, and caregivers the opportunity to process and express emotions they have about raising a child with a disability, to hear the perspectives of individuals who have disabilities, and to then use insights and perspectives that they gain from this work to engage in productive collaboration with outside agencies that is aligned with their own and their child’s future vision for themselves.  We will focus on differentiating between a vision that reflects the parent’s values from the child’s own goal for themselves and ensuring that collaboration remains focused on the needs of the child.   This workshop is open to family members and caregivers of people who have any type of disability.
